This policy describes how the Safe Harbour QuickBooks application (the “App”) handles data. The App is an internal tool operated by Safe Harbour to support our own accounting workflows. It is not offered to the public and processes no data belonging to outside users.
The App connects to QuickBooks Online companies owned by Safe Harbour through APIs provided by Intuit Inc. Depending on the task, it may read and write accounting records in those companies, including:
Data accessed by the App is used solely to maintain and reconcile Safe Harbour's own accounting records. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to our internal bookkeeping.
We do not sell, rent, or share data accessed by the App with any third party. Data flows only between the App and Intuit's services, under the authorization granted through Intuit's OAuth consent process.
OAuth credentials issued by Intuit are stored on access-restricted systems controlled by Safe Harbour and are accessible only to authorized personnel. Connections to Intuit's APIs are made over encrypted channels (HTTPS). Accounting data handled by the App remains within Safe Harbour's systems and the connected QuickBooks Online company.
Working copies of accounting data are kept only as long as needed for the task at hand and for ordinary record-keeping. Authorization tokens are retained while the App is connected and are invalidated when the connection is revoked.
An administrator of the connected QuickBooks Online company may disconnect the App at any time through the QuickBooks Online account settings, which revokes its access to that company's data.
